With all of the bad news that circulates and the evil that pervades in this world, the struggle to not gossip or seek revenge against those who persecute you or others can be challenging. Here are some Bible verses that can help you get through tough times when you feel like the evil is winning.

Matt. 5:10 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness’ sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
God promises justice. All He asks is that we follow His commandments. What is greater, your vengeance against your enemies, or Gods? Why waste your time seeking bad things for those who come against you when God has already promised you that His almighty judgment will be served?
Deuteronomy 7:15 And the LORD will take away from thee all sickness, and will put none of the evil diseases of Egypt, which thou knowest, upon thee; but will lay them upon all them that hate thee.
2 Thessalonians 1:6 Seeing it is a righteous thing with God to recompense tribulation to them that trouble you;
Exodus 23:22 But if thou shalt indeed obey his voice, and do all that I speak; then I will be an enemy unto thine enemies, and an adversary unto thine adversaries.
Colossians 3:25 But he that doeth wrong shall receive for the wrong which he hath done: and there is no respect of persons.
Genesis 12:3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.
Those with wicked hearts will suffer. Those who hurt the innocent will pay. The Almighty father sees all that the righteous go through and whether it be in this life or the next, His wrath for what was done against them will be served. For this to happen, we must follow His commandments and entrust these injustices to the Lord. One of these being Luke 6:28 Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you. While carnally this can seem unfair, God makes promises to His people that in the end the evil will be punished. Why sacrifice Gods promises for you by seeking vengeance and holding hate in your heart? As hard as it is, forgiveness is what is expected of us. After forgiving you can pray that God will deal with the injustices properly and trust that He will keep His promises. Mark 11:25 – And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses. Forgiving does not mean forgetting, it just means that you have the faith to let go and let God deal with the situation in His own way.
