Warning From Fox News 12 Hours To Prepare For Solar Storm

In a recent video Shepard Smith warns of a massive solar storm and just how long we would have to prepare. While he is trying to convince everyone this is not meant to scare them but to inform them…he advises that 12 short hours is all the warning we would have if a solar storm were to occur. The alarmist video does serve a good purpose and that is to forewarn others of the effects of a massive solar blast. The likes of which could be released from the sun, well anytime. According to the official Facebook post by Fox News:

“12 HOURS … THEN THE WORLD GRINDS TO A HALT: Officials say that’s all we’d get to prepare for the effects of a massive solar storm. They say millions of people could be left without power, and that communications and GPS systems could be down for days. Tell us: Are you ready?” –Source

The bottom line is that if a major solar storm hit the earth GPS, communication, power and other electronics would be completely useless. These essentials would not be out for a short time but for days, weeks, months and some speculate even years.

According to the official study, in order for the USA to rebuild its power grid after a massive solar blast it could take up to 10 years before everything returns to normal. In that time frame not only would it be practically impossible for power to return, but civilization as we know it would never be the same. The riots, wars, food and water shortages, and medical emergencies would have overtaken the land.

A national grid-down situation would be far more complex to repair

The recent storms that caused this “grid down” situation for millions of Americans was a local event, and its repair and restoration has been aided by workers arriving from outside the affected regions. In a national grid down scenario, however, there will be no excess human capital to lend to the situation. Every worker will be busy trying to restore the power grid in their own home regions.

This means repairs will take significantly longer, and according to some experts like David Chalk and James Wesley Rawles, a national grid down scenario has the potential of being unable to be repaired at all, resulting in years of no power grid which would obviously unleash mass death across the U.S. population.

Across all fifty U.S. states, only Texas has its own independent power grid, and even that grid has been strained by recent high temperatures. –Source

RT: Estonian Foreign Ministry confirms authenticity of leaked call on Kiev snipers

Paet told RIA-Novosti news agency that he talked to Catherine Ashton last week right after retiring from Kiev, but refrained from further comments, saying that he has to “listen to the tape first.”Estonian foreign ministry has confirmed the recording of his conversation with EU foreign policy chief is authentic. Urmas Paet said that snipers who shot at protesters and police in Kiev were hired by Maidan leaders.

“It’s very disappointing that such surveillance took place altogether. It’s not a coincidence that this conversation was uploaded [to the web] today,” he stressed.

“My conversation with Ashton took place last week right after I returned from Kiev. At that time I was already in Estonia,” Paet added.

Paet also gave a press conference about the leaked tape on Wednesday, saying that the dramatic events in Kiev, which resulted in people being killed, must become the subject of an independent investigation.

The Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs also issued a statement on its website, saying that the recording of the leaked telephone conversation between Paet and Ashton is “authentic.”

The phone call took place on February 26 after Estonia’s FM returned from his visit to Ukraine, which took place soon after the end of street violence in Kiev, the ministry added.

“We reject the claim that Paet was giving an assessment of the opposition’s involvement in the violence,"the statement stressed, adding that the FM was only providing an overview of what he had heard during his Kiev visit.

RT has contacted Ashton’s spokesperson, Maja Kocijancic, who said “we don’t comment on leaked phone conversations.”

The call took place after Estonia’s Foreign Minister Urmas Paet visited Kiev on February 25, following the peak of clashes between the pro-EU protesters and security forces in the Ukrainian capital.

It was reportedly uploaded to the web by officers of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) loyal to ousted President Viktor Yanukovich who hacked Paet’s and Ashton’s phones.

During the conversation, Paet stressed that “there is now stronger and stronger understanding that behind the snipers, it was not Yanukovich, but it was somebody from the new coalition.”

According to the Estonian FM, “all the evidence shows” that the “same snipers” at Maidan were shooting at people from both sides – the police and the protesters.

Ashton reacted to the information by saying: “Well, yeah…that’s, that’s terrible,” adding that the matter is worth investigating.

94 people were killed and another 900 injured during the standoff between police and protesters at Maidan Saquare in Kiev last month.
